REEForest in the spotlight

A mention for best shots in June

Thanks to the collaboration between journalist Stelios Misinas and our staff at the HCMR Institute of Oceanography in Greece, we have achieved two important publications. A video summarising our activities has been published on the Reuters YouTube channel, and we are among the best science photographs of June for Nature magazine!

A summer interview

Professor Annalisa Falace, scientific coordinator of our project, was interviewed in Gabriella Cantafio‘s article in the Italian magazine Donna Moderna. It was an excellent opportunity to talk about the all-female team of biologists working at the University of Trieste to restore Cystoseira s.l. in various areas of Italy.
 

The article is dedicated to young people who would like to work in environmental restoration, one of the “blue professions” of the future.

One Planet, One Health

Thanks to our collaboration with WWF Italy, we talked about the restoration of Cystoseira s.l. within the One Planet School platform.

The platform’s goal is to promote a culture of sustainability and nature conservation based on solid scientific foundations. We contributed by talking about the factors that threaten marine forests and the effort needed to restore them!
