On Tuesday March 25th we went on air on Canale 5!
Viewers of the 8 o’clock news were immersed in our ongoing field work. The report briefly told about the project and the different steps involved in marine reforestation. We showed the stunning drone footage and underwater images of the restoration sites from the project MPAs.
Professor Annalisa Falace, the project’s scientific coordinator, was interviewed for the report; she emphasised the ecosystem services provided by macroalgae of the genus Cystoseira s.l. and their importance in mitigating the climate crisis.
